Executive Vice President, Fresh Purchasing Manager

Stuart’s primary role as Executive Vice President is to oversee all of the company’s purchasing of fresh seafood. Stuart has developed programs for many fresh items and continues to be responsible for the day-to-day purchasing and selling of key fresh seafood items.
Stuart began his career at Stavis in 1987 where he started on the floor and worked his way through sales and purchasing to eventually becoming Fresh Purchasing Manager. In 2004 Stuart was promoted to Executive Vice President. Prior to moving to Boston, Stuart worked in New York for Merrill Lynch as a Financial Consultant from 1981-1987.
Stuart currently serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the New England Seafood Processors Association, an organization that he helped to create in 2002. He also chaired the Government Relations Committee for NESPA. Stuart also served as an Executive Board Member for the New England Fisheries Foundation from 1995-2000.
Stuart graduated from SUNY at Albany with a BS in Business Administration in 1981.
