Hot Crab Dip

Recipe: Hot Crab Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 spanish onion (diced)
  • 1 green bell pepper (diced)
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp Tabasco
  • 2 oz of lemon juice
  • 2 lbs of Backfin or Special crab meat
  • 1 lb of cream cheese
  • bread crumbs

Instructions

  1. Sautee butter, onion, pepper
  2. Add flour and make a roux
  3. Add tabasco, lemon juice
  4. Then, add crabmeat and cream cheese
  5. Mix all very well
  6. Transfer to a bowl and sprinkle some bread crumbs on top and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees
